“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20
Son Rise Christian Fellowship prayerfully and financially supports those who would like to serve on various Missionary Trips throughout the year. We have not forgotten the LORD’s command to evangelize to the world. As a result, we support, or have supported missionaries, in Europe, South America, Africa and Asia. In addition, we believe that God has purposely planted us in Fullerton, California to be His witnesses and diligently proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ in our community. Here you will find stories, videos, and/or photos from some of the personal experiences that members of Son Rise have had while serving the Lord by serving others.
The Britton’s
Along with Campus Crusade for Christ, they are part of the Bridges International ministry at USC & UCLA. They aim to create a warm environment where international students, spouses, families and visiting scholars from different countries can feel at home. They are committed to helping international students develop socially, culturally and spiritually through activities and weekly meetings. Pray that God may continue to use Bob and Sue in proclaiming the Gospel boldly, discipling new believers, and wisdom in raising their adopted children – James and Jon.

Samoa
In 2008, Mary Flores and Jane Cosa went to the city of Malua in Western Samoa. There they participated in a week long VBS on the campus of Malua’s Theological College. The children of the college students, as well as some locals, attended the daily bible lessons, games, sports and crafts. They partnered up with South Seas Christian Ministries who hosts this VBS once a year. They also participated in a Saturday night youth service, where Mary shared her testimony, and in a local tradition of a Fia-Fia (party) where gifts were presented to the school and village.
Australia
Mary Flores went to Australia in 2009 and returned the following year in 2010. She worked alongside Ann St. Church in Brisbane City by supporting them in their various ministries. It includes International student outreach, free community supper for homeless and students, city prayer walk, church grounds clean up/repairs and a trip to Eidsvold. It is a small country town of only 459 people recorded at last census. There they also held a VBS type program and the gospel was shared.
Kenya
Working with the organization Tumaini, Mary Flores went to Kenya on a “vision trip” in 2010. God laid before her the plans that He had for her to return the following year with a group from her home church. In 2011, Son Rise sent a group to Kenya, to continue the work that Mary was a part of the previous year. The team split up into 3 groups. Evangelism and ministry in town, church planting and home visits with kids sponsored through Tumaini.
Moldova
Sammy and Natalia Cosa embarked on a journey to reach out to the orphans of Moldova. They partook in an orphans camp, filled with games, crafts, skits, bible lessons and even lived in the same living conditions as they did for 2 weeks.
Panama
Great things are happening in Panama. Jonny Balos and Radu Birle helped in the construction of the future missionary’s house in Panama. The local church wanted to build a house where the pastors and visiting missionaries could live. It would also be a house of fellowship and weekly meetings where they would disciple and study God’s word with other believers.
Honduras
We have been sending many of our own to Honduras, since 2005. Most recently, Florin Gociu helped lead a team in Tela, Honduras. Their goal was to help the locals in building and remodeling churches and clinics. They also visited public schools in which they were given the opportunity to share the necessity for them being pure and having integrity even from a young age. The most impacting part is the soccer training and competitions that they have yearly. At the end of the soccer tournament, the gospel is preached.
